How I Work
How I Work
Insightful
I try to work with clients to generate new perspectives and deeper understanding of themselves. I do this by offering up observations and working together to identify patterns between the past and the present that help you understand what is happening so that we can find ways to get unstuck from any patterns or habits that might not be sustainable or healthy.
Approachable
It can be intimidating to start therapy. I understand that and do my best to make my clients feel like therapy is something they can easily engage with, especially if it's their first experience. I try to foster a client led environment where we go at the pace that feels comfortable to you.
Directive
I really value interaction in my session. I believe that a therapist’s role isn’t just to attune and listen, but to offer their expertise, insight, and observations. I want my clients to feel like they have the ability to make changes in their life, and I see my voice and ability to vocalize my thoughts and opinions as part of that.
What You Can Expect in the Room
Authenticity:
I strive to show up as authentically as possible in hopes that my clients feel invited to do the same. This authenticity creates real moments of connection and trust, which allows us to use the therapeutic relationship as a place of security for tending to the areas you want to work on.
Collaboration:
We need each other to do the work. I see us as a team and I rely on open communication, regular feedback, and input to help my clients accomplish their goals.
